Stripes, Solid, Texture

SST1Vest: Zara // Top: Wilfred via Aritzia // Skirt: DVF (gold version) // Shoes: Forever 21 // Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs

This outfit was an outfit which you walk out of the door and just don’t know what to think of it. I wasn’t sure about the stripes and faux fur mixing and the burgundy skirt mixed with the navy stripes. Thankfully for this blog, this outfit was photographed and it gave me much more confidence in how the whole outfit looks. Sometimes it’s nice to break out of your comfort barrier because that’s when you find what you truly like and dislike.

All Black

allblack2

As much as I love colour I still gravitate to black. It is quite hard to talk myself out of buying pieces that are black because the general idea is that it is classic and easy to wear/pair. Outfit planning like this one happens all the time. I throw things on and all of a sudden I look in the mirror and I am in head to toe black but since Vancouver is still a rainy mess, it feels almost appropriate to be head to toe in all black.

The Minnie

Unlike the other Winters I’ve been through, this has been my first winter which I’ve been gravitating towards pants. I’m usually a skirt and tight gal but it seems the change was necessary with so many different pant options on the market currently. The J. Crew minnie has been one of my favourite items to enter my closet. The pant has a bit of stretch for comfort but looks like a full structured pant. I can be in it all day and it doesn’t seem to lose it’s shape. That’s a plus one for a girl working in the office!

Happy Tuesday!

granvilleisland2Granville Island is my favourite place to be a tourist in my own city. It doesn’t help being surrounded by yummy food either!

magazines1I love reading magazines but have such a hard time parting with it once I’m done. Does anyone else have this problem? This is only a small section of what I have collected. Yikes!
